Here are the subscription rates for 2022, along with the payment periods and discounts for part-time and retired members.

Teachers who join the NASUWT for the first time will receive 6 months' FREE membership, providing they agree to pay by direct debit and provide their bank details.

The cost for a teacher working full time is £17.12 per month or £205.48 per year (including political fund) and this is less for part time teachers, depending on their contracted hours of work.

Unlike other Unions NASUWT has no hidden fees or local levies so you can rest assured that the NASUWT, the teachers' union, is the best value for money.

  1. The quarterly direct debit collections are in January, April, July and October

  2. The annual direct debit collection is in April, but for the period January to December

  3. One payment at £17.16 and eleven payments at £17.12

  4. One payment at £8.58 and eleven payments at £8.56

  5. One payment at £25.70 and three payments at £25.68

  6. One payment at £4.29 and eleven payments at £4.28

  7. One payment at £12.85 and three payments at £12.84

  8. This category of membership does not cover you for any teaching

The NASUWT recognises that some members may be facing additional financial difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic, where members have been disengaged from their contracts or are no longer being offered work or are unable to accept it for health reasons or those of a loved one.

If this is the case for you then please contact the National Union by email at recruitment@mail.nasuwt.org.uk with the following information:-

  • Full name;

  • Membership number (or date of birth and post code if you cannot locate it);

  • Copy of letter/email from a school or supply agency confirming they will not be offering work or copy of letter/email from employer ending your contract.
